2011’s Final Hours – The Ayala Annual Yearender

As the final hours of the year of the metal tiger draws to a close, the annual Ayala party which is something somewhat reminiscent of the NY version with the ball drop in the Philippines take to the streets. Citizens from all over the Metro and QC flock to the intersection of Ayala and Makati Avenue to party it out on the streets. Being a denizen of Ayala does have this particular advantage when it comes to events that are hosted here.

This photo was taken a while ago, refer to the countdown timer at the top of the stage: thats around a little less than seven hours before we turn our calendars over. (I chose a neutral sponsor before I took the photo XD) If you didnt know that is the logo for one of the Typhoon Sendong initiatives. There are plenty of stalls with food and some sell items to generate funding for such initiatives as the former.

In a few hours these streets will be packed with partygoers. If you want a magnificent fireworks display to watch as the new year dawns and youre still without a destination, you can spend your midnight here. Be forewarned that parking will be problematic and youll probably need to walk a few blocks or so to get to the location; but if you do get here and you know me and youre looking for company, hook me up.

Till the clock tolls the twelfth, enjoy the last minutes of 2011!
