The MeMO Pad HD 7 – Asus Salvo for the Entry Level Tablet Market

Last Monday, Asus Philippines invited media reps to Stacy’s at the Fort to get to know the stylish new addition to the MeMO Pad Family.

The setting (Stacy’s) was indeed very attuned to the MeMO Pad HD 7 because of the vibrant colors that these new tablets come in:

Available in gray, blue, green, pink, and white, these certainly can become an essential fashion accessory for the individual. Quick specs include a 1200x800px IPS screen, dual cameras (5 and 1.2MP), quad core CPU, expansion slot up to 32GB, 10 hour battery, stereo speakers and it is quite the looker with a 10.8.. profile and weighing in at a mere 302grams.

The package comes surprisingly with its very own stand… something not found with any other offering prior to this one. Of course we find the standard charger, cable, and documentation along with it.

Below we find it along with its Nexus bretheren, special thanks to Sir Alex of The Technoclast for lending me his 2013 Nexus:

Five lucky participants were able to take the stylish tablet home after completing a series of challenges set out buy the Asus team at the culmination of the event. It’s a pity we weren’t able to finish the Minion Rush part of the challenge haha. Here we were with our attempt:

The Asus MeMO Pad HD7 retails for Php6,995 for the 8GB model and Php8,995 for the 16GB one – a definite choice when considering an affordable tablet that comes with little compromise and plenty of technologies and optimizations that Asus is known for.

Something for the upcoming holidays as well! Kudos for another successful event Asus team!
